After several years, multiple careers, and a couple of children, Tanya and Whitney (who once worked together in the recruiting field for a local Fortune 200 company) crossed paths in pursuit of a common goal – a balanced career and a successful life.
Tanya and Whitney wanted a challenging career without having to invest 40-plus hours a week. After maternity leave, Tanya found it impossible to strike the right balance between work and family. So, Tanya decided to stay at home with her daughter. However, she never gave up the goal of being a great mom with a successful career.
Whitney chose a different path after maternity leave and returned to work in a part-time capacity. She created an employment scenario that worked for her, but it required a lot of effort to establish and maintain within a traditional work environment.
Both Tanya and Whitney wanted to return to the work-force on their own terms with companies who promoted flexibility and appreciated their strengths and commitment. But, there was not a clear path to achieving this goal. Conversations with other successful women led Tanya and Whitney to believe that they are not alone in the quest for balance. And thus, Momentum Resources was born.
Tanya and Whitney have built a company that truly emphasizes a balanced career and successful life. They are motivated by their children (whose black and white pictures cover the walls of their hip office) and work hard to find flexible work opportunities for other talented women.
